Financial Workshop Series for Women Scheduled for September
Did you know women are generally less financially secure throughout their life-
time, are more likely to be widowed or divorced and have less retirement income? Cit-
rus County Extension Services invites women to attend a five (5) session workshop series
"Women and Money: Unique Issues" to begin on Wednesday, September 30 from 6:00-8:00
pm. The workshops will explore the impact of life changes on an individual's economic
status and how to plan appropriately for future financial well-being.
The classes will be held at the Extension Services Office, located at 3650 W. Sover-
eign Path in Lecanto. Pre-registration is required with a onetime fee of $25. For registration

Democratic Executive Committee Open House
The Citrus County Democratic Executive Committee (DEC) is hosting an Open
House on Saturday, September 12 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Whispering Pines Park in In-
verness. Join like-minded citizens at the Large Pavilion next to the children's playground
for a free afternoon with plenty of food, drinks and music to learn more about opportunities
to get involved with the Citrus County Democratic Party. Leaders of the DEC will be on
