50s & 60s
Sock Hop Cruise
The Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park will be presenting a Swingin 50s
& 60s Sock Hop Party Cruise on Saturday, September 12, 2015 with boats departing from
the Visitor Center at 5:00 pm. You ll take a stroll down Memory Lane as you cruise along
Pepper Creek on a pontoon boat to the park s West entrance and walk to the Garden of the
Springs. Once there you ll experience a return to the 1950s and 1960s as you mingle with
TV characters of that time period. Participants are encouraged to wear 50s and 60s outfits.
Live entertainment for the evening s Sock Hop will be provided by the Suncoast
Drifters. Refreshments will include hot dogs and roasted marshmallows over an open
campfire.
The Citrus County Cruisers will be on hand to show off some Wheels of that era.
After the festivities are over, you ll be transported by tram back to the Visitor Center.
Tickets must be purchased in advance in the park s office at the rear of the Visitor Center
located on US 19. Tickets are $25.00 for adults and $15.00 for children ages 14 and under.
Purchase a ticket and you will automatically be entered into a drawing for door prizes.
