$1,000). The report stated that Carver had been trespassed from the Homosassa Walmart,

earlier in the day, and returned to the store later.

Raymond Michael Ciccone, 42, Crystal River, was arrested by the Citrus County

Sheriff's Office, Aug. 30, charged with hindering, delaying or preventing communication to

   

a law enforcement officer or judge, information relating to an offense or violation of proba-

tion (no bond) and felony battery - committing battery with one prior conviction for battery



(no bond). He was also arrested on a Citrus County warrant for felony battery - committing



Rick Layne DeTavernier, 49, 9639 N. Misty Janell Ter., Crystal River, was arrested



by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Aug. 30, charged with petit theft of $100 or more,

but less than $300 (bond $500). The report stated that De Tavernier was unable to pay a taxi



fare of $109.94, plus an additional $3.91 for pack of cigarettes (total loss of $113.85) to a



driver with Affordable Car Service and Taxi. Deputies responded to the Bank of America,

located at 450 SE Hwy. 19 in Crystal River when DeTavernier was unable to pay the driver

due to insufficient funds in his account. The taxi driver said he'd picked up DeTavernier at



his home and had taken him on numerous errands, including several pawn shops and the



Crystal River sheriff's office substation.

Samantha Jo Long, 20, 3790 E. Cart Ln., Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus



County Sheriff's Office, Aug. 30, charged with possession of a prescription drug without



having a prescription and possession of drug paraphernalia (total bond $1,500). Long is ac-

   

cused of being in possession of 3.5 pills of buspirone hcl. 15 mg (not a controlled substance)

  

and a methamphetamine pipe. The arrest came as the result of a traffic stop in Homosassa.

Yvonda Carla Barth, 52, 5171 E. Barth Ct., Hernando, was arrested by the Citrus

County Sheriff's Office, Aug. 31, charged with possession of a controlled substance and

possession of drug paraphernalia (total bond $3,000). The report stated that deputies were

informed of a "suspect vehicle" at the power lines on N. Donovan Ave. and W. Cyprus St.

in Crystal River. The arrest report described the compromising position Barth was in with

a man who was with her when deputies arrived. Barth quickly pulled her clothing up and

    

jumped into the backseat, while the man jumped into the driver's seat, according to the

   

report. Barth and the man both gave permission for the vehicle to be searched, according to

the report, and rock cocaine was found wrapped in the cellophane from the cigarette pack



(the drug paraphernalia).
