Pet Patrol
Free help to flood victims available this week
Florida Baptist Disaster Relief will be offering services (starting on Monday, Sept.
5 ) throughout the week. They will be operating out of the First Baptist Church in Crystal
River off of Citrus Ave, Crystal River.

All of the FL Disaster volunteers have had a background check and have been
trained. All services to the public are free. Each volunteer is credentialed through their orga-
nization prior to going out in the field. They will have credentials with them while they are
out in the community. They will either be in yellow or blue shirts with their logo on it.
Florida Baptist Disaster Relief is a well-respected and recognized organization to
provided services to a disaster area.
Some of the services they can provide, free of charge, are: ·Chainsaw Crew -
Clearing trees and other major obstructions following adverse weather and assisting in the
removal of debris. · Clean-up (mud-out or debris pickup) - a unit or team of trained volun-
teers who are responsible for salvage and clean-up after flooding, fires, windstorms (etc.)

The Citrus County Sheriff - Red Cross offering Shelter Management Class
The Citrus County Sheriff s Office, Division of Emergency Management has co-
ordinated with The American Red Cross and is offering a Shelter Management Class to be
given at the EOC on September 7, 2016, beginning at 8:30am. We realize that this is short
notice, and we will be scheduling another class in early 2017. Instructors will be provided
