Be Informed on Amendment One
The League of Women Voters of Citrus County invites you to join them on Sept 9
th for a presentation and discussion on the Florida Land and Water Constitutional Amend-
ment One with Dr. K.C. Nayfield, well known land preservationist as the guest speaker.
Dr. Nayfield is a native Floridian who is very concerned about the decline of
the state's environment which he has witnessed during his lifetime. He has spearheaded a
campaign to add a constitutional amendment to the 2014 ballot which will guarantee that the
funds allocated for the protection of our water and land are used only for that purpose.Over
700,000 signatures were collected , indicating that there is a great concern and an eager-
ness for the public to have an opportunity to vote on this issue.
Additional agenda includes Monthly Feature by Homosassa Wildlife Park volun-
teer and Community Spotlight by a local group or organization TBA.
The meeting is at 10:15 at the Central Ridge Library in Beverly Hills. All interested
men and women are invited. The league is an educational and non partisan political orga-
nization that meets every second Tuesday of the month. Feel free to bring your own soft
drinks.For information call 352-382-0032 or e mail lwvcc2013@gmail.com..
