Citrus Sheriff's Office
Seeks Suspect in Robbery
On September 18 at 2:22 am, Cit-
rus County Sheriff s Office deputies were
dispatched to the Circle K convenience
store at 5601 S. Florida Ave. in Floral City
in reference to an attempted armed rob-
bery.
The store clerk explained that
he went outside to put something in the
dumpster when he was approached by a
Hispanic male who asked for a cigarette.
After the victim obliged, the suspect then
pulled out a knife and demanded the man s
wallet. A struggle ensued and the suspect
attempted to stab the clerk, but he was
able to defend himself and the suspect ran
away, heading northeast down Gobbler
Dr. towards Old Floral City Rd. The vic-
tim was not injured.
The suspect is described as a
Hispanic male, approximately 5-foot-8
wearing a white tank top and dark colored
shorts with tattoos on both arms.
