Pet Patrol
County offices closed for Labor Day Holiday
Citrus County Government offices will be closed Monday, September 7 in ob-
servance of Labor Day. The county landfill will be closed on Labor Day and will return to
normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8.
All library branches will be open regular business hours on Saturday, September 5,
but will be closed on Labor Day.
All Community buildings will be closed. Parks and boat ramps are open for regu-
lar business hours. Bicentennial Pool will be open from12:30 pm to 4:00 pm for Open Swim
and Central Ridge Pool will be open from 12 noon to 5:30 pm for Open Swim. Animal
Services will be closed on Labor Day, but will return to normal operating hours on Tuesday.

Each P.L.A.Y Program is designed for children between the ages of 3-5 years old

Soccer will take place on Mondays at Central Ridge District Park in Beverly Hills
and Tuesdays at Homosassa Area Recreational Park. Classes will be offered at 5pm or 6 pm.
Tee Ball will take place on Wednesdays at Central Ridge District Park in Beverly Hills and
Thursdays at Bicentennial Park in Crystal River. Classes will be at 5pm or 6pm.
The cost is $45 per child and that fee includes a tee shirt and age appropriate sports
equipment for each child. (Scholarships are available to those that qualify).
Classes will start the week of September 14th. Pre-registration is required. For

Labor Day Weekend Adoption Special at Animal Services
Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP) is sponsoring an adop-
tion special on Labor Day weekend. For all dogs and cats, you can name your price for
adoption! This special is for one day only on Saturday, September 5. We encourage the
public to visit the shelter, located at 4030 S. Airport Road in Inverness, from 10 am to 4 pm
to pick out a shelter animal to adopt. Please call Animal Services for more information at
