Remembering the Past
Richard Nathan Hawthorne, 38, 35 N. Hawthorne Dr., Inglis, was arrested by the
Inglis Police Department, Aug. 31, charged with felony fleeing and eluding and misdemean-
or resisting an officer without violence and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
According to the police report, about 12:34 a.m., Hawthorne failed to stop on SE Butler Rd.,
Inglis, for a marked IPD vehicle with its emergency lights and siren activated. Once stopped,
the report stated, Hawthorne pulled away from the officer and failed to comply with the offi-
cer s instructions, causing him to use pepper spray and his taser. Under arrest, he was found
to be in possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
Todd Robert Maggio, 32 6646 W. Macopin Ln., Crystal River, was arrested by the
Levy County Sheriff s Office, possibly on Sept. 5, charged with 2 counts of failure to appear.
His total bond was set at $7,000.
Quintin Merle Vedder, 22, New Port Richey, was arrested by the Inglis Police De-
partment, Sept. 6, charged with DUI. According to the arrest report, The IPD was contacted
to assist Citrus County Sheriff s Office deputies with a traffic stop at the intersection of
County Rd. 40 and U.S. Hwy. 19. While speaking with Vedder, the officer smelled alco-

placed on the Levy County Sheriff s Office s Most Wanted List, Sept. 16, with a
warrant for her arrest for failure to appear(on a charge of fraud/utter a false docu-
ment); no bond.
Michael A. Rader, a 32 year-old white male from Inglis, was placed on
the Levy County Sheriff s Office s Most Wanted List, Sept. 16, with a warrant for
his arrest for violation of probation (convicted of sex offense against a child); no
bond.
