Williston Vendor Arrested For
Selling More Than Peanuts
Williston-On September 1, 2009 the Levy County Sheriff’s Office
Drug Task Force arrested James W. Scott for sale of marijuana less
than 20 grams and possession of marijuana.
Agent Rob Bowers with the Drug Task Force received infor-
mation that Scott was selling pills and marijuana from his peanut stand
located between Williston and Bronson on highway Alt-27. Bowers
made contact with Scott on May 7, 2009 to discuss the sale of narcot-
ics.

stand and he sell pills marijuana. Bowers returned the

On September 2009

Task Force arrested Scottand he was to the Levy County

Inglis church burglarized
The First Baptisit Church of Inglis, located on Hwy 40burglarized
East, was some-
time between Sunday night and Monday morning (Sept.6 7), between 8:30 p.m. And
or
8:00 a.m. Someone entered the church through a side door and damaged several doors in
the church while looking for items, but no items were reported
as missing. Paster Johnston
stated that no money is kept in the church, but it is a shame that church property was de-
stroyed, according to Sgt. Mack Ballard.
IPDOnchargesRyan Hurst was arrested by the Inglis Police Department on a
man with battery
Sept. 7, Dennis
charge of domestic battery. According to Sgt. Mack Ballard, the report stated that Hurst had
slapped the victim and punched her on the arm. Hurst was transported to the Levy County
Jail and held without bond.
