Pet Patrol
Community Emergency Response Team training
The next Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training will begin Sep-
tember 14, 2016 and run every Wednesday evening from 6pm to 9pm through November 9,
2016 at the Citrus County Sheriff s Office Emergency Operation Center in Lecanto. CERT
is organized under the direction of the Citrus County Sheriff s Office Emergency Manage-
ment Section.
CERT's motto is: "The greatest good for the greatest number of people". CERT
training prepares Citrus County citizens in the event of a large scale/catastrophic disaster or
emergency event. Because local emergency personnel may not be able to respond immedi-
ately, CERT members can make a difference in saving lives and property.
The following topics will be taught during the nine weeks of training:

Unit 3 Disaster Medical Part 1

Unit 4 Disaster Medical Part 2

Unit 5 Light Search & Rescue

Voluntary CPR Training (this will be on a Tuesday)
