the weather is more extreme
than it was a few years
back. I have always consid-
ered myself a “hot weather
person”, not bothered very

hang up there in the high
90’s. These days the heat just wilts me. I

and more time soaking up AC. The fact
that I have put a few more than six decades
on this earth behind me could also be a
factor that affects my poor tolerance of hot
weather.

impacted by natural disasters such as hur-
ricanes, tornados, earthquakes and floods
in this day and time also makes me reflect.

ters or is it simply that we have weather
news and pictures available to us 24 hours
a day-7 days a week now on the internet
and television? Another reality is there are
so many more people inhabiting Moth-
er Earth that it is only logical that more
