Yankeetown Fire Reports
Yankeetown Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded to the scene of a motorcycle
accident, around 10:30 a.m., August 24, five miles north of Inglis on U.S. Hwy. 19. According
to the incident report, five volunteers responded to the rollover of a red Hyundai four door
vehicle with three passengers. The report stated there were injuries and first aid was given.
Additional information on victims is no longer legally allowed to be released.

Yankeetown Volunteer Fire and Rescue responded to a motorcycle accident, around
4:15 p.m., August 10, that occured in Inglis on Hwy. 40E, near the VFW Club. According to the
report, the Inglis and S. Levy Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments were also on scene.
Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene to treat injuries. No additional information was
available.

On Sept. 5th the Yankeetown Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to a brush fire on Butler
Rd and 187th Lane. The fire was described to be about 40X30X20 ft. in size and was extin-
guished by respondents Shearer, Kubistek and Scheer in about 1.5 hours. The property is
owned by Plum Creek G.H. W.M.A.
