Keller was currently beating a woman in a car who had stopped to help her.
She told the men that Keller was trying to take the woman’s children.
When the second woman stopped to help the first victim, Keller
opened the back door of her vehicle and tried to take the two children, ages
one and three, from their car seats. Keller next tried to take the keys out of the
ignition, but the mother was able to pull Keller out of the vehicle.

At this point, the two painters arrived at the car to help the second
victim. One of the painters had grabbed a shovel from the residence as protection, and when
they approached Keller, he charged them aggressively. The painter with the shovel hit Keller
on the right leg with it, but when Keller charged the man a second time, the man punched
Keller in he chin.
At this time, a deputy, who had been dispatched to Roosevelt Blvd. and S. Davis
St. in Beverly Hills, arrived to find all the victims and Keller on Roosevelt Blvd. Keller ran
toward the deputy, who ordered him to the ground and to stay down, however, Keller got up
