Hope Foundation at VFW Fund Raiser

Come join the HOPE foundation at the VFW on September 14, 2013 between
11 am -3 pm for a seafood dinner. HOPE will be raising money to be able to continue our

mission of feeding the needy in our community and surrounding area. The seafood dinner
plates will be a charge of $5.00 per plate. Everyone come on out and enjoy some good
cooking. We hope to see y’all there.

Sea Cadet Month - Open Ship
“Manatee Division celebrates Sea Cadet Month with an “Open Ship” Event at the Coast
Guard Station in Yankeetown on September 14th from 9 am until 3 pm with games, team
building exercises and other activities.
The U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps is for youth ages 13 through 17 years old. We
also have a Navy League Cadet unit for youth ages 11 through 13 years old. We provide
a fun and challenging environment that is free of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, and gangs. We
develop leadership abilities and broaden Cadets’ horizons using hands-on and self-paced
training. They are guided to become mature young adults whether they decide to join the
military or not. Please come visit us at our event. Please contact our Commanding Officer

At 10:30 Sunday, September 15, 2013 Dancing as Spiritual Practice at Nature
Coast Unitarian Universalists, Citrus Springs. Dr. Diana Kanoy, Professor emerita of Pub-
lic Speaking at the College of Central Florida in Ocala will speak on the Spirituality of
Dance. Diana will speak on the Spirituality of Dance incorporating the poems of Hafiz and
Rumi. After the Service she will lead us in a simple, uplifting circle dance honoring the
Earth’s sacred traditions. We hope you will join us!
