Right Back ‘atcha
I took some flak for my
piece about the Democratic
ticket. Yes it is true, a few
people were put off but the no-
tion of a bunch of guys sitting
around in the morning talking
trash and poking fun at our elec-
toral process. I’m not ashamed. Actually I’m
glad to know folks are actually reading this
column… or not as the case may be. For the
record, I’m not a registered Democrat. I’m
also not a registered Republican. As an Inde-
pendent, I am an equal opportunity offender;
if you are a flag waving GOP, you might want
to go ahead and just read something else now,
it’s not going to be too pretty from here on
out.
Is it just me, or does anyone else
get the impression the John McCain wants
you to feel sorry for him or something? I
can’t escape the notion that being shot down
and captured and tortured for years in deten-
tion camp somehow equates to being sensi-
tive to the environment and the myriad of
other things a president has to consider in
every waking moment. It isn’t a recent thing
either; I can remember the last time he ran
