"Bootsie, an 8 y.o. neutered male (indoor cats average life expectancy is 18-22 years),
pedigree Ragdoll, that is marked like a Himalayan, is a beautiful house cat. He is a lap cat of his
choosing, enjoys just being in your space, but not in your face. He does not want to be around
other cats, dogs nor kids, though. He would be perfect for someone who would give him lots
of attention. He enjoys being brushed, having his tummy rubbed, and sleeping on your bed.
To the right home he would be FREE. No adoption donation request. We just want to find him
the owner that will love him in return. Adopt a Rescued Pet, Inc, does a home visit prior to
adoption. Phone Adopt A Rescued Pet, Inc foster Donna at 527.9050, between 8 pm and 10 pm
for Bootsie, or leave your name, number, pet's name. Your call will be returned later.

Inglis teen enrolls at Kentucky
By Doug Johnston
When Inglis teenager John Wildey began his freshman year at
Dunnellon High School he had no idea what career he wanted to pursue
after high school. He enrolled in Air Force ROTC during his first year at
DHS and his future aspirations immediately became crystal clear. "I de-
cided that a commission in the U.S. Air Force was my career goal that first
year in high school", Wildey said recently. "I liked what I saw in ROTC
and have been focused on excelling in the classroom since that year".
Wildey graduated from DHS this past May with high honors; his
4.0 GPA ranked 17th in his graduating class of 244 students. His four year
average at DHS was above 3.5 earning him a high honors award and he
also was awarded with a high honors award in geometry and earned the
Scholar Athlete Award in soccer for 2004 and 2005.
Wildey was a three year nominee for Who's Who Among American High School
Students and a glance at his academic and extra curricular accomplishments leave no doubt as

to why he received that attention. He was a four year member of the color guard and served as
commander of that group one year, three year member of the drill team, member of the saber

team which he served as vice commander, and a member of the Kitty Hawk Honor Society.

These staff positions and his outstanding academic performance led to Wildey being chosen
group commander of his ROTC class his senior year?with a rank of Cadet Lt. Colonel.

Athletically, Wildey played little league baseball for 7 years in addition to playing
varsity soccer at DHS.

At least one major university took notice of Wildey's accomplishments. The Univer-
sity of Kentucky offered the Inglis teen a full scholarship through the UK ROTC program and
he will begin classes there in August.
Opening August 15th
"I made a trip to the UK campus in the spring and I really liked it", said Wildey." I
can't wait to get started".
Tentative Hours
Despite all of his ROTC responsibilities, extra curricular activities and heavy class-
room load, Wildey also worked for nearly two years after school and on weekends at Food
Ranch Supermarket in Inglis as a stock clerk and cashier. Handling all of those responsibilities

Wildey plans to pursue engineering as his major at UK and enter that field in the Air
Force. After successfully completing four years at UK and the ROTC program there, he will
