She said she reported the petty cash as missing and later received a phone call from the
child's mother that she'd found an enveloope containing the petty cash and an X-Box con-
toller, and she went to the workplace of the child's mother to pick up the petty cash - but
the story was later determned by detectives to be false. The mother knew nothing about the
incident and did not even know who Creel was, according to the report. When Creel was
asked about the petty cash incident that had occurred the morning of the interview (July 25,
2014) she said she'd left the petty cash inside her childís diaper bag in an envelope, and
when detectives checked with the daycare in question, they were told that Creel had not been
there to retrieve the funds, so this story was also determined to be false.
At that time, Creel was released as the investigation continued. In ten transactions
from mid-June through July 25, ten cash receipts totaling $571 were entered into the com-
puter and voided, days later, and never shown as being credited to the accounts of the people
who'd paid in cash. The detective reported that other items, for which there were no receipts,
had also been voided, one to several days later, and matched the way Creel had hidden
"stolen funds" the report stated - that were not deposited or credited to accounts - and these
totaled $3,613. After the petty cash that was in the possession of the Creel during the time
of the interview was reviewed, a witness advised that $446 was missing from the amount of

On July 30, Creel spoke with the investigator at the CCSO's Crystal River substa-
