Because class size is limited, pre-registration is a must. CERT trainees must attend
all nine evenings of instruction in order to receive their certificate of training.

Join us this Thursday, August 7, at 11:30, as Sheriff Jeff Dawsy announces that the

CCSO is now an official Purple Heart Law Enforcement Agency -- the first agency in the
nation to ever hold the designation. August 7 is recognized as National Purple Heart Day in
honor of those who received this highest military honor.
The Aaron A. Weaver Chapter 776, Military Order of the Purple Heart,(named af-
ter local soldier Aaron A. Weaver who was killed in action in 2004), and special guests will
be in attendance to commemorate the event.
