First day of school in Levy County is Monday, August 24. Yankeetown School is
located at 4500 Highway 40 West in Yankeetown, Florida 34498; phone:(352) 447-2372;
fax:(352) 447-3961. Jeannine Mills is Yankeetown School's new Principal.
Yankeetown School hours are 8:00 am - 2:25 pm, Mondays through Fridays.
School Absence Policy: any combination of 3 tardies and/or early dismissals equals 1 ab-
sence; 9 absences results in failure for the grading period, as per School Board Policy.
Schedule for August and September: School starts in Levy County on Monday,
August 24. Wed., Sept. 2 is an early-release day. On Monday, Sept. 7, schools will be
closed for Labor Day. Wed., Sept. 23 is an early-release day. Monday, Sept. 28 is a School
District In-Service (no students) - ask teachers for details.
Parents/guardians of school children are asked to please label all items with your
child's name in permanent marker, including backpacks, jackets and lunchboxes.

community. The mission of Yankeetown School is commitment to continous growth. The
School Board of Levy County's Mission Statement is to educate all students in a safe envi-
ronment and graduate them ready for college and career success.
