Extension Services Offering First Time Homebuyers Workshop
A First Time Homebuyer's class is being offered by Home Ownership Matters for
Everyone (HOME), a nonprofit organization in Citrus County, on Saturday, August 15 from
8:30 am to 4:30 pm. This class will be held at The Salvation Army Citrus County Corps
Building, located at 712 S. School Avenue in Lecanto. Participants who attend the entire
session will receive a Certificate of Completion that is required for the Neighborhood Stabi-
lization Program and other first time homebuyer assistance programs.
The class encompasses the entire home buying process including preparing your
credit and finances, shopping for a home, home inspection, fair housing, available loan
products, loan pre-approval, and closing. A variety of industry professionals will present to
the class and answer questions throughout the session.
This event is sponsored by UF/IFAS Extension Citrus County, Citrus County Hous-
ing Services and HOME. There is no charge to attend these sessions, but you must reserve a
seat. Call Lena at 352-419-4837. Space is limited.
