The Trail to The
Information Super Highway
Now that the information age
is upon us, with social networking sites
and search engines all over the internet,
you literally have the world, and all the
knowledge and people in it, at your fin-
gertips.
But back in the “olden days,” I
enjoyed randomly flipping through ency-
clopedias for information. My mother is
fond of saying, about my middle sister,
Myra, and me, “Myra got through school
by never reading a book, while Debbie
actually enjoyed reading encyclopedias!”
Now, my mother did not pull this
out of thin air, because the lively and so-
cial Myra actually makes this claim, but
always with a big grin. She CLAIMS she
got through school without ever reading a
book, that she only read Cliff Notes, and
that she spent more time fashioning cheat
sheets than she did studying for tests!
I personally feel that Myra makes this
claim, solely for the family’s entertain-
ment!
