Bank robbery/auto burglaries suspects

bery that occurred about 9:30 a.m. on June 27 at the Nature Coast Bank located at 1160 N.
Suncoast Blvd., in Crystal River. The arrested suspects are two homeless
men, John Paul Leikauskas, II, 37, and Jason L Williams, 42, who resided in
a homeless camp located off White Dogwod Ct. in Homosassa.
During the time of the robbery, a witness observed Williams enter
the passenger side of a white van with another man in the driver’s seat who
drove away, heading south on U.S. Hwy. 19. The witness phoned the tip to
the CCSO. Deputies located the van on E. Jump Court in Homosassa and
took Leikauskas into custody. The witness identified Leikauskas as the per-  Leikauskas
son he’d seen driving away from the bank after it was robbed. During an in-
terview by detectives, Leikauskas said that he and a person he knows only as
Jason had driven to the Nature coast Bank and robbed it, that Jason had robbed
the bank, and he had sat in the van waiting for him.
At a homeless camp located off White Dogwood Ct. in Homosassa,
three people were located, one of which was Jason Williams. Williams denied
robbing any bank. Leikauskas was transported to the camp location and iden-  Williams
tified Williams as the Jason who went into the bank and robbed it. Shortly, the
bank teller witness was transported to the camp and identified Jason Williams as the person
who demanded money from her at the bank. One of the homeless men at the camp told of-
ficials that he saw both Williams and Leikauskas drive off in a white van during the early
morning.
