Nine Arrests - Continued from page 1
merce websites. Chatters also used several Internet chat sites frequented by children.
On Sunday, June 17, a CCSO detective with the Special Victims unit made an
unanticipated early arrest of 27 year-old Reno Wolfgang, a man who repeatedly traveled
from Tampa to Citrus County to engage in sexual activity with an actual 14-year-old girl
who resides in Citrus Springs. The detective assumed the teenís persona and chatted with
Wolfgang for many hours. Wolfgang thought he was hooking up with the girl and her juve-
nile girlfriend for a threesome when he was taken into custody. The CCSO worked closely
with the Dunnellon Police Department on this case, which involved sex acts with a minor at
a motel and other locations.
Arrests resulting from the undercover operation began on Wednesday, with under-
cover chatters giving the suspects driving directions to an undercover residence located in
Crystal River where they were to meet. An alternative public meeting location was offered
to those who were leery of driving to a residence, and two suspects were arrested there. The
busiest days were Friday and Saturday, with three arrests, each day.
One vehicle was seized for forfeiture. Also seized were cell phones and a smart-
phone with its GPS directions leading directly from the suspectís home to the undercover
house. The majority of the men arrested brought condoms to the rendezvous site.
The suspects arrived at the undercover house with everything from • • •
Barbie dolls to
gallons of milk. Search warrants are pending on cell phones and computers for evidence,
and a forensics analysis will follow.
The suspects (see photos at right) are facing multiple violations of the state's Com-
puter Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act, ranging from traveling to meet a
