Area Police Beat
A 16 year-old Inverness youth was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office,
June 25, charged with one count of a felony, sexual battery of a 12 year-old or older person
without consent while the victim is physically helpless. The report stated that the victim had
consensual sex with the youth on June 22, but she was sore from rough sex and also had bite
marks and bruises. The following morning, the youth was insistent of having sex again, but
the girl told him no, although that did not stop the youth. The girl managed to get away and
call her mother who convinced the girl to press charges. The report stated that the youth was
to be transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice in Ocala.
Emil Roth III, 53, 11240 N. Northwood Dr. Lot 110, Inglis, was arrested by the
Inglis Police Department, June 25, charged with theft (shoplifting) from the Inglis Food
Mart. His bond was set at $10,000. The report stated that items taken included two por-
nograpahic magazines and two pornographic DVD’s with a total value of $40.64.
Jon Estevew, 11431 SE 203 Pl., Inglis, was arrested by the Levy County Sheriff’s
Office, June 25, charged with violation of probation.
