Letter to the editor:
Re: “Praying for wisdom in desperate times...”
The previously elected mis-managers of public funds have successfully removed
any prospect for hope out of our childrens’ future. lnstead of having trillions (yes, trillions
of dollars of surplus, held in escrow) to guarantee the ease of future generations, we have
a debt load, so great of a burden, that it is already impossible to repay, by this or any future
generations.
Apparently, most of the mistakes have been made in an effort to achieve political
correctness. lt appears as though wisdom, like Elvis, has left the building. lf we spend more
than we take in, we can only view that philosophy as “foolish,” technically described as
insolent or bankrupt.
lf we, as individuals, ran our households like the Federal Government runs theirs,
we would all be living in cardboard boxes in a ditch. Going down this road is bad enough,
but why do we feel it’s acceptable to accelerate, unrestrained, to our own demise?
So many people surrounding us are apparently oblivious to the current crisis that it
makes me think that the in-country conflict is really one of opposing world views. Timeless
wisdom tells us that “a house divided against itself cannot stand.” Regardless of which side
of this division you are on, the division itself is undeniable. Reason tells us that this situa-
tion cannot endure, this house cannot stand.
Moving on, I would rather that we would refrain from erroneous labeling of Re-
publican or Democrat, conservative or liberal. After all, both parties clearly promote a glo-
balist, socialist agenda, at the cost of national sovereignty and individual prosperity. in-
stead, I propose we resurrect terms that actually have meaning - competent or incompetent.
With that having been said, all of the leadership of recent decades has been incompetent! lf
that were not so, we would not be suffering through the current crisis.
I, too, believe that it is time for a change, and I , too, am so audacious as to have
hope. The only hope for this once great Republic, is the only hope for any other, to yield to
the wisdom that only God can offer. Praying for wisdom in desperate times...
