"New Life" for Old Inglis Police Building
Remembering the Past
The Inglis commission had first decided to sell the old police station and property,
however they have decided to keep it and use it for other town functions.
Town of Inglis Maintenance has been kept busy with work orders to bring the
old Inglis Police Depart-
ment building on the corner
of Risher Ave and Hwy 40
W up to code after a major-
ity of commissioners voted
to convert the IPD building
into a new Inglis Municipal
Building.
The building will
be the offices of Zoning,
Code Enforcement and Ani-
mal Control. The town is
currently without a zoning
official after the July 14th
commission meeting.
A motion by Commissioner Steve Kesterson to fire Zoning Officer Charles Botts
was passed by Commissioners Kesterson, Ely and Morin. Voting no were Commissioners
Price and Smalldridge. Former Inglis commissioner Sherry Ely was reinstalled to take the
place of suspended commissioner Drew White (see story on page 8). Animal Control Steve
