Looking for Transitioning Veterans
The Citrus County Veterans Services Department is looking for Veterans who have
recently transitioned from the Military (or returning reservist from tours of active duty) to
Citrus County within the past two years. Veterans Services is requesting that Veterans and
their spouses call to be placed on a list for an upcoming seminar. We will be discussing what
benefits or services you need to help ease your transition.
We will schedule a seminar to inform you of your benefits and solicit your ideas.

Preliminary Budgetalong with Director of the Management and
Hearing July 24
County Administrator Brad Thorpe,
Budget Department, Cathy Taylor, will present the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 proposed budget
to the Board of County Commissioners on Wednesday, July 24 at 9am.
The board will review and discuss a motion to set the tentative millage rates for
Fiscal Year 2013/2014. There will also be a motion to authorize the Chairman to execute
the Certification of Taxable Value, Maximum Millage Levy Calculation Preliminary Disclo-
sure, and Tax Increment Adjustment Worksheets.
The meeting will take place at the Citrus County Courthouse, 110 N. Apopka Ave-
nue, Room 100 in Inverness. Parking restrictions will be lifted from 8 am-5pm in Inverness.
Parking restrictions lifted for Regular BOCC meeting July 23
Due to the potential high volume of attendance for the regularly scheduled BOCC
meeting on July 23, attendees should be aware that parking restrictions will be lifted from
noon-5pm in Inverness.
The meeting will take place at the Citrus County Courthouse, 110 N. Apopka Av-
enue, Room 100 in Inverness at 1:00 pm.
