Parsons Presbyterian Church s Vacation Bible School
Parsons Memorial Presbyterian Church invites children of all ages to come and
experience Jesus's love at Vacation Bible School on July 13--July 17 from 9:00 a.m.--
Noon. Children will be lovingly cared for in Fellowship Hall behind the church sanctuary
at 5850 Riverside Drive in Yankeetown (next to Coast Guard Station.) The church phone
number is 447-2506 if you need further information. All children are most welcome to
participate and you need not be a church member to have your children participate.
This year's Vacation Bible School's theme gives your precious children an
E.D.G.E.: Experience and Discover God Everywhere. Children of all ages will have fun
learning Bible stories, singing music, making crafts and savoring snacks.
Also, this is the second year the church's Vacation Bible School has sponsored a
"nickels for potatoes offering." The nickels collected help support the Society of St. An-
drews potatoes for the needy. These are truly seed potatoes for Christ.
AMVETS Turkey Dinner Fundraiser
The AmVets William Crow Post #447, located at 33 Risher Ave., Inglis, is hosting
a fundraiser on Sat., July 18, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Dinner will include roasted turkey with
