patience ( I admit that I run short on this). Government has many more restraints than busi-
ness, not much happens over night. Remember that you will essentially have no staff and
you will have to do your own leg work on most stuff. You will find that the disconnection in
people’s minds between wanting stuff and having to supply it, is tough to deal with. People
may want perfect drainage but they really don’t want the big bills for capital projects that it
takes to make it happen. You can’t feel like that’s your fault. You do the best you can and
accept that someone somewhere is going to be unhappy with you. If you think you can
handle it, it can be very rewarding. Throw your hat in the ring. Good Night and Good Luck
Argument leads to crash in Yankeetown
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an argument between a driver and his
passenger led to a single vehicle crash, July 4, resulting in extensive damage to the vehicle,
a 2002 Mazda pickup truck, but only minor injuries to the driver. The passenger was not
injured.
The  crash  occurred
on State Road 40, west of Yan-
keetown, around 5:20 p.m.
According to the report, the
driver, Jesse M. Brooks, 27, of
Inverness, was distracted due to
the argument with 19 year-old
passenger Alicia N. Benigno,
also of Inverness, and the truck
traveled across the westbound
lane and left the road, traveled
onto the shoulder and rotated to
the right, crashing the left side of the truck into a utility pole. Power was off for several
