Attention to Michael
Jackson’s death over the top
I think the media
frenzy over Michael Jackson’s
death was over the top, out of
bounds and just plain ridiculous.
I watched the six o’clock news on
ABC the day of Jackson’s death and I was
flabbergasted that on a day when Iranians
were rioting in the streets, North Korea
was rattling sabers, and the U.S. House
of Representatives was nearing a vote on
an important piece of legislation called the
“Cap and Trade Bill”, that ABC not only
made his death the lead story that evening,
but took up nearly half of that 30 minute
news program telling us what a great and
sensitive guy he was.
This is the same Michael Jackson
who dressed like and made his face appear
like every day was Halloween: The same
Michael Jackson who dangled his infant
son out of a window, holding the child by
his ankle: The same Michael Jackson who
invited many young children to his estate
he called “Neverland” and admitted sleep-

honor his father. The AMVETS are in the process of building plans for the new post. The temporary post home is behind the Inglis Police Sta-
