years old this year. For one quarter of a
century the school’s secure position in
the educational field has never been chal-
lenged. With the ever shaky economy,
budget cuts and decrease in student popu-
lation the school’s survival is at a critical
point. Talk of busing our high school stu-
dents to a north Levy County school after
years of the students attending Dunnellon
and Crystal River High set the atmosphere
for rampant rumors. This week I heard talk
that the school may be closed. Rumor, I
am sure it is, but it still makes you stop
taking for granted that which always has
been.
