Timothy Chester Hawes, Jr., 46, Homosassa was arrested by the Citrus County
Sheriff's Office, May 23, charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition prohibited
with injunction and child (a person under the age of 18) abuse without causing great bodily
harm. His bond was set at none. Hawes is accused of repeatedly hitting a child on the face,
traumatizing the eye with blood surrounding the pupil. The report stated that Hawes was
upset about the allegations against him and deputies coming to his house. The victim also
had a burn to the left arm said to be caused by Hawes pressing a hot kitchen pan against it.
