The Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park held a Collector Day and Appraisal
Fair June 15 at the park main building on Hwy 19. Tables were set up with experts and ap-
praisers in many areas from Dudley’s Auction in Inverness to look at people’s items and give
an idea of their worth. Everything from stamps to furniture were carted or brought in for
an idea of value. Many unusual items passed through the doors and there was even a violin
expert there to appraise musical instruments. Several tables were set up with collectibles
for sale. Proceeds from the appraisal fees will benefit the Friends of the Homosassa Springs
Wildlife Park. Photo and story by Sally Price.
