Robert Thomas Cox, II, 24 56th St., Yankeetown, was arrested by the Levy Coun-
ty Sheriff's Office, June 16, charged with simple domestic battery (bond $5,000). The report
stated that the complainant accused Cox of pushing her up against the wall while she and
Cox had been drinking. She said she broke free, ran into the kitchen and got two knives
for protection, that Cox grabbed her hands, and the knives dropped onto the floor. Cox told
deputies that he hadn't placed a hand on the woman, who had no visible injuries, according
to the report, that he was just trying to get her to leave.
Diane Elise Gladue, 60, 12315 N. Margaret Ter., Dunnellon, was arrested by the
Citrus County Sheriff's Office, June 12, charged with robbery by sudden snatching, with
her bond set at $5,000. The report stated that the victim told deputies that a woman (later
identified as Gladue) had walked up to him at his Hernando residence and asked him for
gas money. The man told her he didn't have money, but he did have some gas in a gas can
he would give her, and as he was putting the gas into her vehicle, she stuck her hand into
his back wallet, grabbed it and tried to take it from him. He swatted her away, told her to
get away from him and finished putting the gas into her car's gas tank as she became more
aggressive, fighting for the wallet and screaming. As a witness came closer, Gladue got into
a black convertible Toyota Solaro and took off. A short time later, she was located at a VFW
post and taken into custody.
