Spearheads Shore Clean-up
Vacation Bible School - Parsons Memorial Presbyterian Church
Bring your child to a fun filled week, from June 20th - 24th. The day starts at
10am until 1pm. There will music, crafts, bible stories, discoveries, games and a special
snack. Our mission for the week will be collecting nickels to help buy potatoes for the less
fortunate. Our theme for the week is “Shake it up Cake” where kids carry out God’s recipe.
So bring your 3 to 12 year old to join us for this awesome week. For more information

Second Chance at Florida Folk Artist Concert
If you missed the Withlacoochee Area Residents, Florida Folk Artist Concert this
past Saturday, you missed an evening of good singin’, good food and good people. But
don’t despair, you have a second chance. On Saturday, June 25th at the Yankeetown-Inglis
Woman’s Club, 5 56th St in Yankeetown, Frank Thomas and Starbird perform from 7pm-
9pm. A renowned Florida folk musician, Frank Thomas has written over 500 songs, pro-
duced nine CD’s and has received the Golden Quill Award, Florida Folk Heritage Award
and the Jillian Prescott Award. Mr. Thomas toured nationally with the Arkansas Travel-
ers.
Val McQueen and Jay Wood are Starbird. The singer-songwriter team from Eus-
tis write and perform in several styles including contemporary, folk, mountain, blues, and
celtic. They have traveled the state of Florida for five years and performed weekly for
three years on Tampa PBS. Locally they have performed for Withlacoochee Area Resi-
dents, Three Sisters Concert On the Point, 2010 Earth Day at Crystal River Preserve State
Park, and at Abigails in Dunnellon.

Town of Inglis Needs Volunteers
The Town of Inglis is in need of members to serve on the Town of Inglis Recre-
ational Advisory Board Activity Committee. The purpose of the board is to
promote community activities, research programs to include Creative and Educational
classes, Club Activities, Dances, etc. to be held at the Inglis Community Center that would
benefit and improve the quality of life for all Inglis Citizens.
We would like to promote activities for our Senior Citizens, as well as the entire
Community. Please join us in giving back to our community and enriching the life of oth-
ers by giving of your time and talents.
