Nature Academy Summer Camps
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Ellie Schiller Homosassa
Springs Wildlife State Park will offer two week-long Nature Academy summer camp pro-
grams in June and July. The programs are sponsored by the Friends of Homosassa Springs
Wildlife State Park and Progress Energy. July’s program is for children ages 10 through 12,
and runs July 12 through July 17. Parents and guardians may stop into park office to pick up
an application or call Allyssa Kordon at (352) 628-5445, ext. 1006.
Southern Gospel Sing
David’s Tabernacle Church of God, located at 9585 W. Seven Rivers Farm St. in Crystal
River, is hosting a southern gospel group at the church on Sat., June 19. The public is invit-
ed. The Sammy Glass Family will entertain in an outdoor concert and picnic. Free hamburg-
ers, hot dogs, and chips will be served at 5:00 p.m., and the concert will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Third Friday Flicks
Third Friday flicks at the Unitarian -Universalist Fellowship are held at 7 P M on
the third Friday of the month, The series presents non-religious, high quality films never
before seen in this country or not shown for a long time.
The final 3rd Friday Flick for this year will be on June 18. It is “The Monster”
about a serial killer. The prime suspect is Gardner Loris. Undercover policewoman, Jes-
sica, is assigned to provide evidence for arrest of suspect. Things don’t go quite according
to plan. Everyone is invited to the Nature coast Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship,
