road rage stabbing
On June 5, the Citrus County Sheriff s Office located "the person of interest and
the vehicle involved" in a road rage incident that took place in Inverness about 5:45 p.m. on
Wed., June 4, according to Lindsay Blair, Media Specialist with the sheriff s office. Blair
said that the investigation is still ongoing and there had been no arrests, as of 9:23 p.m.,
Thursday.
The road rage incident ended with the suspect stabbing the victim in the right up-
per leg/groin area with a knife at Hwy. 44 and Washington St. The victim, 20 year-old John
Bowling of Beverly Hills, flagged down a deputy on Main St. who immediately applied
pressure to Bowling s large laceration and called Emergency Medical Services. Blair said
that Bowling is recovering from his injuries. The suspect was described as a white male in
his 30s who was driving a white Honda Pilot with a Washington State tag.
