Matthew Michel Haunte, 19, 5620 W. Grovepark Rd., Dunnellon, was arrested by
the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, June 3, charged with criminal mischief ($200 or more,
but less than $1000) and battery of a law enforcement officer. His total bond was set at
$11,000. The arrest came as the result of a complaint made made by an acquaintance who
said that Haunte was hostile and verbal with him, and he believed that Haunte may have
shot a pellet gun at his vehicle, but he was not sure. Haunte began screaming at the deputies,
ordering them off his property. He grabbed two deputies and was placed under arrest. The
report stated that Haunte smelled of alcohol, and his eyes were glassy and blood shot. On the
way to the detention facility, Haunte bashed his side into the interior of the door and kicked
the patrol vehicle, damaging the door's locking mechanism.
Barry Ross Vigeant, 63, Hernando, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's
Office, June 3,, charged with aggravated battery on a persons 65 years of age or older (a
second degree felony reclassified to first degree felony) and aggravated assault with a deadly
weapon without intent to kill. He was given no bond. The report stated that Vigeant is ac-
cused of pushing the victim by the shoulder causing her to fall onto a bed and pointing a gun
at her, threatening to kill her.

Citrus County Sheriff's Office, June 4, charged with resisting an officer without violence and

possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence (total bond $7,000). The ar-
rest came as the result of a traffic stop in Floral City for traveling 64 mph in a 55 mph zone.
A K-9 deputy made an alert to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle, and numerous items
were found: a broken pipe that tested positive for methamphetamine, empty dime' baggies
and a narcotics sales ledger. Williams said he had a small amount of marijuana in a plastic
bag in his underwear. At the jail, the baggie was no longer inside Williams' underwear, lead-
ing the deputy to believe it was inside his rectum.
