Boil Water Notice for parts of Citrus Springs
Due to a leak at the valve on the main line on N Limbo Cir in Citrus Springs servic-
ing homes located at 8764 – 8891 N Limbo Cir & 8741 N Elkcam Blvd, a precautionary boil
water notice is being issued due to the loss of pressure in the distribution system. Due to this
loss of pressure in the distribution system, the bacteriological quality of water is question-
able.
Accordingly, we are recommending that all water used for consumption and cook-
ing purposes be boiled until further notice.
Citrus County Utilities will be flushing the affected lines and will collect two con-
secutive days of bacteriological samples as soon as all flushing and disinfecting is com-
pleted. This is a precautionary measure to ensure that the water meets all safe drinking water
standards.
