The CCSO requested assistance from the Gainesville division of the U.S. Marshals

Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force in October 2011, which adopted Beasley’s case due to

his serious charges and his history of firearm possession.

USMS Task Force investigators determined that Beasley had fled from Florida and

was traveling throughout the southeastern United States, using a false name and limiting

his contact with others. Investigators followed up on leads in Alabama, South Carolina,

North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida. The week prior to Beasley’s arrest, Task Force

investigators had reason to believe he was near Knoxville, Tennessee. They learned on May

22 that he was hiding inside a small house on a mountain in a rural area of Pigeon Forge,

 

Tennessee. That night, U.S. Marshals in Tennessee sourrrounded the house and ordered its



Beasley, who was going by an unspecified fake name, exited his bedroom, then

the house, and was placed under arrest. A handgun was found, lying on the bed in Beasley’s



bedroom. He was booked into the Sevier County Jail in Sevierville, TN pending extradition
