to gather her belongings and vacate the room, she became hostile and made an aggressive

motion toward the deputy. When the deputy attempted to place her into handcuffs, the report

Webster began hyperventilating, and the deputy pulled over for medics to evaluate Webster,



who was deemed stable.

James Howard Rosen, 61, 8975 W. Halls River Rd. #207, Homosassa, was arrested



by the Citrus County Sheriff's Office, May 10, charged with grand theft of $300 or more,



but less than $5,000. His bond was set at $5,000. The report stated that a neighbor had ap-

proached Rosen, earlier in the day, regarding a Fed-Ex package in Rosen's utility shed that

was addressed to the victim. A witnesss had seen the package, and Rosen had allegedly told



the witness to forget that the package existed, "that he would take care of it," the report



stated. The victim toldl deputies that the package contained rods, reels, bait and lures, with

a value of approximately $500. Upon inspection of the package, the deputy reported, it was

Ambrose John Vogds, 69, of Inverness was sentenced to life in prison, May 10, for

a conviction of sexual battery of a person under twelve years of age and lewd or lascivious

molestation of a child under twelve years of age. Upon hearing the jury's verdict, Judge Ric

Howard immediately sentenced Mr. Vogds to life in prison without the possibility of parole

- the statutory maximum sentence. Mr. Vogds was also designated as a sexual predator.

Richard Thomas Dalton, 24, 65 S. Harrison St., Beverly Hills, was arrested by the

Citrus County Sheriff's Office, May 10, charged with possession of a controlled substance.

    

The report stated that the arrest came as the result of an urgent wellbeing check to a S. Pine

Meadow Ave., Homosassa residence. The resident told deputies that man who appeared to

   

be under the influence had stumbled out of a vehicle, that he had difficulty walking, and she



was concerned for his safety. She said the man had attempted unsuccessfully to get inside
