Man Charged With Shellfish Violation
Robert Kevin Lee, 43, Carrabelle, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff s
Office, May 8, charged with failing to replant or resubmerge aquacultured shellfish by of-
ficial set guidelines, saltwater products license not in possession, and falsely identifying
himself to a law enforcement officer. His combined bond was set at $2,000. The arrest report
stated that a deputy was on patrol at the Crystal River Watersports boat ramp, about 10:20
pm, and stopped the vessel, which had 7.5 bags of freshly harvested oysters on board that
had not been delivered to a certified shellfish dealer by 11:00 am, as per regulations.
The captain gave the officer a false name (James Russell Lee) and a false date of
birth (June 30, 1968, making his alleged age 49). However, through the Driver And Vehicle
Information Database ("DAVID"), Mr. Lee s actual identity was revealed as Robert Kevin
Lee, and his actual age is 43. At that time, Mr. Lee was placed under arrest.
