Citrus Kidnapping Suspect Taken into
Custody in South Carolina
David Duncan, Jr., 52, a suspect in the May 3 kidnapping of a 29
year-old Floral City woman and her two year-old daughter, was taken into cus-
tody in South Carolina, May 9, with the assistance of U.S. Marshals and the

Orangeburg County Sheriffís Office. When confronted, Duncan ran, and upon

his arrest, he was armed with both a gun and a knife, according to the Citrus

County Sheriff’s Office. Duncan will have to waive extradition before being
transported from the Orangeburg County Jail Citrus

who lives in Marion County. The woman, who had been beaten, was treated and released

from a Marion County hospital. The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office obtained an arrest war-
rant from the State Attorney’s Office for Duncan on two counts of kidnapping, one count of
aggravated battery with a firearm and one count of armed burglary. According to the CCSO,
other charges may be pending.


record amount of food collected in this year’s National Postal Workers’ Food Drive. Pictured

The report stated there was a chemical smell (meth) at the residence where Naylor

and four minor children were. Naylor stated he’d not been staying at the residence very

long, and became very nervous when asked if he had anything on his person, according to

the report. He had three syringes (all tested positive for meth) and a pill box with pills.

cannabis pipe and a notebook that documented several narcootics transactions and paper-

meth powder residue and a coffee grinder that tested positive for ephedrine.
