Commissioner to Hold a Town Hall Meeting in May
Commissioner Scott Carnahan announced today he will be holding a Town Hall
Meeting on Wednesday, May 20 for the general public to attend. The meeting will be held
at the Floral City Library, located at 8360 E. Orange Avenue in Floral City, from 5:30 pm to
7:00 pm. Commissioner Carnahan is encouraging citizens to bring forward concerns about
the future direction of Citrus County and budget priorities, as well as suggestions on how to
improve services and better meet the needs of citizens in our community. For more informa-

Work to Begin on Duke Energy Right of Way in Inglis
Duke Energy crews will be applying herbicide applications in the right of way of
the IO69kV transmission power line corridor that starts at the Inglis Substation, located at
100 NE Inglis Avenue in Inglis, and ends at the Silver Springs Substation, located at 3001
SE 36th Avenue in Ocala. The IO69kV is a 27.55 mile right-of-way and work is scheduled
to start within the next few weeks and continue through July.
