On April 1, 2015 the Levy County Sheriff's Office, Florida Department of Parole
and Probation and the United States Marshal's Sex Offender Investigation Branch com-
bined efforts and conducted compliance checks on registered predators/offenders in Levy
County. The purpose of these checks are to ensure the registered offenders are complying
with their probation conditions. Some offenders are prohibited from having internet access
or even possessing a cell phone.
Six locations and 15 offenders were checked by officers. Of these, four arrests
were made due to various violations of their conditions for release. A fifth subject was
arrested for an outstanding warrant issued by the Parole Commission for conditions viola-
tions.
All subjects are being held on a "no bond" status at the Levy County Detention
