Shawn Robert Waters, 22, 147 Snapp Ave., Inverness, was arrested by the Cit-
rus County Sheriff's Office, March 29, charged with possession of a controlled substance
(methamphetamine) and possession of cannabis (less than 20 grams). His total bond was set
at $3,000. The arrest came as the result of a traffic stop for the driver of a vehicle not having
a bumper; Waters was a back seat passenger. A trained narcotics K-9 alerted to the presence
of narcotics in the vehicle.
Kim Marie Bouterie, 47, 134 Lori St., Inglis, was arrested by the Levy County
Sheriff's Office, March 30, charged with violation of probation for misdemeanor criminal
mischief. Her bond was set at none. She was initially arrested in Brooksville on Feb. 18 and
held without bond, then transported to the Levy County Detention Facility.
Takara Michelle Mitchell, 30, Ocoee, FL, was arrested by the Citrus County Sher-
iff's Office, March 30, charged with two counts of uttering forged bills, checks, drafts or
notes; one count of possessing or displaying a forged, stolen, fake or unlawfully-issued
Florida license or identification; and four counts of scheme to defraud less than $20,000.
Her total bond was set at $75,000. The report stated she's accused of using multiple fraudu-
lent checks and green dot cards to pay for, or attempt to pay for, items at multiple Publix
stores in Citrus County; that she engaged in a scheme to defraud and obtain property, so is
guilty of oganized fraud; as well as having false identification on her person. She's accused
of using these means to receive merchandise or attempt to receive merchandise from Publix
stores located in Inverness, Sugarmill Woods (Homosassa), Citrus Hills and Crystal River.

Samantha L. Lawson, 23, Inverness, was arrested by the Citrus County Sheriff's
Office, March 31, charged with child abuse without causing great bodily harm. Her bond
was set at none. She's accused of spanking a child so hard on the bottom that there were
purplish-red bruises to the area three days later. She said she became frustrated when the
child refused to dress him/herself and spanked him/her very hard on three occasions that
day.
