A year-old Floral city man was killed in a traffic crash in Floral

est St. He was unable to see the ATV (without lights) and began turning left toward E. Oak

Forest St. and into the path of the ATV. As a result, the front portion of th ATV struck the



front bumper of the Jeep, and Mr. Bowers was ejected from the ATV onto the westbound

       

lanes of E. Oak Forest St., while the ATV came to rest on S. Florida Ave. The Jeep came to

     

rest in the northbound lane of S. Florida Ave.

        

The report stated that alcohol was a factor with the deceased Mr. Bowers, who



was also not wearing a seatbelt. Alcohole was not a factor with Mr. Owens, the driver of

         

the Jeep, who was wearing a seatbelt, as was his passenger, 19 year-old Cody A. Owens of

       

Floral City. Neither of the Owens were injured in the crash.
