Pet Patrol
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is hosting a class on April 28,
from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. to train volunteers to become public speakers and participate in sup-
port activities to educate Citrus County residents on disaster preparedness and response.
Volunteer opportunities include: course training facilitation, citizen recruitment,
administrative support activities, and session coordination. Following the training, volun-
teers will host sessions to educate citizens on the importance of having a survival kit and a
family communications plan.
Volunteers will receive a recognition certificate for completing the training and
free Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) course materials.
The class will be held in the Training Room at the Citrus County Resource Center,
located at 2804 W. Marc Knighton Court, off County Road 491 just south of Beverly Hills.
