Businesses Support Fund Raiser for Yankeetown School Trip
Nature Coast Water, Inc is again this year helping the Yankeetown School Marine
Science Program raise money for their annual trip to Pigeon Key in the Florida Keys. The
locally owned business is donating (2) $100.00 gift certificates for your choice of either gas
or groceries. You can win a $100.00 Food Ranch Gift Certificate or a $100.00 Gas Card to your
favorite “local” gas station. For more information call Yankeetown school or Tammy Vorisek
at 352-447-0345. The Voriseks, owners of Nature Coast Water, Inc. are very excited to be able
to help out with this fund raiser. The drawing will be on May 2, 2009.
Selected Middle school students will spend 4 days and 3 nights in the renovated
buildings that were home to workers in the early 1900’s that built the Overseas Railroad. The
students will get to snorkel a reef, visit a sea turtle hospital, and study and experience the
history and ecology of the Florida Keys.
Once again we are asking our community to help raise money for the student’s trip.
Information will be available at the Food Ranch, as well as at other local businesses. Watch
the Newscaster for other locations.
