Citrus County Veterans Coalition (CCVC) Food Pantry

The CCVC food pantry is available to Citrus County veterans honorably discharged

from the service and their immediate family members. The veteran must prove their service

by a VA ID card, or their DD214. Widows of veterans are eligible by showing the death

certificate of the veteran and the veterans DD214 or VA card. Income of the applicant is

taken into consideration on a case by case basis. Food given out from the pantry is based on

size of each family. None of this information is kept on file. We respect the confidentality

Inverness Highlands area on boil water notice until further notice

     

Residents in the Inverness Highlands area were issued a Boil Water Notice on

       

Sunday (April 19), when an unusual water main break occurred on S. Apopka and Daffodil

      

Streets, according to the Media Division with the Citrus County Sheriff s Office. Employ-



ees with the public works department were on scene and advised that all city residents in

 

the Highlands area were either with low water pressure or no water at all. As a precaution,

       

residents were advised to boil water for safety until further notice. On Sunday, water em-

         

ployees were attempting to isolate the leaking main in order to start repairs. South Apopka

        

was closed at the intersection of Daffodil until the repairs can be completed.

       
